RNLI
The Royal National Lifeboat Institute celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2024.
President Linda Mainwaring was brought up in Lytham St Annes, where many of her relatives were involved in the fishing industry. Spending long hours at sea, they were always at the mercy of the waves.
In recognition of the work on the RNLI throughout the last two centuries, the Club will be supporting the Lytham Lifeboat station throughout the Rotary year. Members will be invited to visit the station to help celebrate this wonderful milestone.
Below are some pictures from the evening which raised money for the Lytham St Annes Lifeboat station.
The video below has been produced by the RNLI to celebrate their 200th anniversary. Please watch and admire the work of this organisation that is funded entirely by donations and fund raising activities.
