The Rotary Club of Rochdale held its first luncheon meeting on the 8th September 1926, receiving its official Charter from Rotary International on 22nd October of that year. This was then celebrated at the club's first Charter Night on 8th December.

Now 100 years later Rotary Rochdale is proud to celebrate a centenary of service to communities locally, nationally and internationally.

Visit our History pages to find out more about the club's achievements over the last 100 years. See below for our upcoming events, and how you could become involved with Rotary Rochdale as we enter our second century.

What is Rotary?

Rotary is a global network of 1.3 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Get Involved and Make a Difference

Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group of professionals who share your drive to give back. It’s an opportunity for personal and professional growth, networking, and making a real impact. Whether you join as a member, a friend of Rotary, a Corporate member or a project volunteer, your contribution will be valued.
